Once again, Ateneo proved its excellence in Academics as well as in talents by having been hailed over-all champion in the annual UP Harong AcadFest 2011 held last October 26-29 in Naga College Foundation campus and SM City Naga.

The theme for this year is: Living in Multiplicity: The Bicolano Youth as an Advocate for Peace and Understanding. Ateneo Team bested more than 20 schools in the competition. The AcadFest included various competitions such as Public Speaking Contest, Photo Journalism, Storyang Suanoy, Debate, Quiz Bee, Poster Making and Performance act in the gala night.

As the Over-all champion for the Acadfest 2010, the Ateneo team was really determined to once again bring the trophy home. With various different schools working hard to win the championship, they made competition hard and stiff. With determination and perseverance, the Ateneo Team was still hailed as the champions. Here is the list of awards won by the Ateneo team:

1st Place – Public Speaking Contest with Beatriz Ann Betito
3rd Place – Photo Journalism with Marjori Albis
1st Place – Debate (Team B) with Janine Malang, Dan Soltes and Jedi
3rd Place – Debate (Team A) with Camille Trinidad, Thomas Igor Ybanez, and Jennae Jereza
Top 1 Best Speaker for Debate –Thomas Igor Ybanez

The UP Harong Acadfest ended successfully and the competition ended leaving wonderful experiences and smiles in the faces of every participant in the contest.
