Keeping the beacon of St. Francis Xavier’s zeal burning, the Ateneo de Naga High School, through the leadership of the Ateneo de Naga Student Government (ANSGO), sent precious smiles and joy among indigent children from neighboring barangays in the the outreach program held at the Xavier Hall of the Main Campus on December 4, 2010.

The ANSGO was assisted by the Office of Coordinator for Student Activities and Community program under Mr. Ireneo Quejada. Volunteer teachers and students actively helped out in cheering up the children and handing over of gifts.

In the small program that preceded the gift giving, Bro. Rico Adapon SJ introduced the children to the life and heroic deeds of St. Francis Xavier, the university patron saint. Later, one of the children gave his outstanding belter interpretation of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey songs. Selected sophomores and juniors of the Ateneo Dance Club performed a modern dance number for everyone. 

Following the program, the volunteers from the community handed gift packs with toys and toiletries. Simple packed snacks from Jollibee added fun among the children. But what kept them awed was the dance number from Jollibee (mascot).
