Third and fourth year students traveled back in time as they dressed up in the Victorian-Era-themed promenade held at the Villa Caceres Hotel’s Doña Dolores Hall on February 19, 2011.

Set in the time of the longest reigning British monarch, the juniors paid tribute to the seniors who are about to leave the high school as graduates. The juniors chronicled the successes of the members of the graduating batch.

The promenade opened with a prayer and soon followed by turning over of symbols of achievement to each of the seniors’ counterpart among the juniors. Symbols of excellence turned over were those of academics, student governance, sports, and religion. Right after the turnover ceremony, the cotillion mesmerized the audience with the mix-up of standard ballroom dances and excerpts from the musical “Phantom of the Opera”. Dinner followed the set of live performances from the students.   

A number of faculty and staff members, also dressed in flamboyant Victorian gowns and gentlemen’s suit, graced the occasion. They were the judges who selected the best pairs in few awards.

Eventually, the floor was opened to the audience as the cotillion dancers performed an excerpt from their previous performance.

At the end of the promenade the following were recognized in the rite of British royalties: Prince and Princess of the Night, Wulfrano Ricafort Jr. and Fiona Elgar; King and Queen of the Night, Aldrin Nico Plantado and Thessa Mae Gaspi; Best Dancing Pair, Meg Dialino and Jonna De Hitta.
