As part of its activities in line with the feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Ateneo Student Government Organization (ANSGO) successfully held the HAPAG-ASA Fun Run last January 15, 2011. Approximately, 50 people participated in this remarkable endeavor. There were students, teachers and even parents who joined. The said Fun Run started 7:30 in the morning. The route for the activity started in front of the Four Pillars, passing through the rotunda near Avida, travelling through the Phelan Drive until they reached the gate in Grandview. Looking tired from all the running and walking, they journeyed back to where they started which was also the finish line. The whole track for the Fun Run was almost 5 km in distance.

Photos by Mr. Meljohn Tatel The Cinderella run of the Ateneo Golden Knights finally ended as they wound up as first runner up in the conclusion of the Area Juniors Finals of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas on October 10, 2010 at the Naga City Civic Center. The feat of the Ateneo High School Basketball team was an improvement from last year’s accomplishments and a boost for Ateneo basketball program whose main thrust is to mold its players to be student athletes. Paired with this achievement, the Knights had a good run in the elimination round as they mustered four straight wins and hurdled down the teams of Camarines Sur National High School, St. Joseph School, Partido State University, and Naga City Montessori before falling short to the eventual champion, Naga City Montessori twice, in the elimination and finals.

News and Photos by Mr. Nino Solomo Ateneo Golden Knights barged into the Area Juniors Finals of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas despite the beating they received from Naga City Montessori at the Naga City Civic Center last October 2, 2010. After extending the Knights’ winning streak to four straight, they were sent back to earth when they absorbed a 68-49 drubbing. The Knights trailed all throughout the game, turned the ball over 23 times and more importantly, lacked the fire and intensity that earned them second seed in the tournament.
