Sta. Ana wins National Letter Writing top prize

Cherilyn Sta. AnaSenior student Cherilyn Sta. Ana bagged the top prize in the Philippine leg of the 41st International Letter Writing Contest.

 

Sta. Ana, who also serves as the editor-in-chief of the student publication Blue and Gold, outshone entries sent in by student-contestants from all the Philippine Islands. The contest required the students to write a letter to any person they wish to write for Sta. Ana wrote for the the legendary Filipina sprinter, Lydia de Vega.

 

Sta. Ana will receive a cash prize of Php 15,000.00 from the Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) the sponsor of the contest. She will also receive a medal, a plaque and a special Stamp Album.

 

Sta. Ana’s winning letter will be the Philippines’ official entry to the international competition to be adjudged in London, United Kingdom.
