New Mass OrderWith the start of the new liturgical season, the Ateneo community ushered the new year using the recently approved Roman Order of the Mass in English.

Although the community is familiar with the version in the local dialect (Bicol), the missal surprised students and teachers. A few of the prayers recited by the priest and the responses of the people have changed.

The community was surprised to respond “And with your Spirit” instead of “And also with you” to the priests greeting, “The lord be with you!”

GC 35Towards of the 2011, the Ateneo de Naga University High School reformulated and enforced the university-wide policy on Materials Management.

It was in August, under the leadership of the new president Fr. Primitivo “Jun” Viray Jr. SJ, that the university’s response to the decrees of the General Congregation 35 of the Society of Jesus was set into full operation.

The GC 35 decrees: “We turn also to the ‘frontier’ of the earth, increasingly degraded and plundered. Here, with passion for environmental justice, we shall meet once again the Spirit of God seeking to liberate a suffering creation, which demands of us space to live and breathe.”
