Selected Ateneo juniors and sophomores participating in the 31st National Camp organized by the Children’s Museum and Library Inc. (CMLI) bagged a streak of victories in the series of contests held from April 27 to May 1, 2009 at Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

 

The National Summer Conference and Work camp of the CMLI Junior Members and Teacher-Advisers were held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. The week-long activity centered on the theme, “CMLI and the Filipino Youth Coping with Modern Technology”.

 

Representing the Bicol Region were proud Ateneans chaperoned and coached by Ms. Elma Padua and Mr. Cesar Ferreras, both of the Computer Education Department of the Ateneo High School. The following are the laurels reaped:

 

Samantha Cynth Zabala – Champion, OPM Solo Singing (Secondary)

Louise Elaine de Castro – 2nd Runner-up, English Poetry Writing Contest

James Ibasco – 2nd Runner-up, Filipino Poetry Writing Contest

John Kenneth Wu – News Reporting

Ms. Elma Padua – Best Project Proposal “Eco-Waste Management through Profitable Livelihood"       

 

Also part of the Ateneo contingent were Clarice Trinidad, Katrina Marie Valle and Hazel Abergos.
