0For a day, Ateneo seniors came, sold and conquered.

Fourth year students conquered the Social Studies Week as they engaged in business in the Mini Trade Fair launched by the Social Studies Department last January 21, 2010 at the Covered Courts.

1Because business is the core of their Fourth Year Social Studies course (Economics and Entrepreneurship Program), seniors were expected to have thoroughly applied concepts in Accounting and Entrepreneurship. The seniors were also expected to showcase ingenuity and creativity as they conceptualized their own products, and designed selling techniques.

Economics and Entrepreneurship Program teachers guided the students in the one-day small-scale business endeavor. Days before the Trade Fair, the students worked out their business plan by deciding what to sell, what amount to contribute and invest, how to boost sales, and how to do proper auditing.

Every class set up and decorated its own booth. Bestsellers were food products which happened to be the biggest bulk of the merchandise sold by the seniors. Seniors were encouraged to be ingenious as they were all reminded of the spirit of healthy competition.

Learning Group 4218 was hailed Best Booth and LG 4318 as Top Grosser.
