Having their final year at the Ateneo de Naga University High School and before they leave the portals of the school, the senior students gathered together to have a Career Talk last June 11, 2010.

The said talk was organized by the alumni of Ateneo de Naga University High School Class 1975. The primary objective of the Career Talk is to make the students informed of the courses, the careers that they will take in college and the kind of life that they will have in the near future.

The talk was divided into three groups: (1) Business, (2) Medicine, (3) and Other Sciences. The Business cluster was held at the Seminar Hall with 122 students that participated. Mr. Michael M. Yu, a businessman, and Atty. Jesus Fernando Z. Carpio, a laywer, were the speakers of the said group. Its main course was that of Marketing or Business and Law. Meanwhile, the Medicine cluster was participated by 81 students held at Room 127. Dr. Heriberto P. Guballa and Dr. Antonio R. Tanchuling, Jr. were the speakers of the group. Different fields on health sciences were tackled in this cluster. On the other hand, Other Sciences cluster was held at Room 128 participated by 67 students. Mr. Anthony P. Ferrer was the speaker of the said cluster. Some of the other sciences discussed were Geology, Psychology and the like. Most of the speakers in all the three groups discussed to the students their own experiences when they were in college and most especially their career. They also emphasized that choosing a career should not be based on the salary or money that you earn but on the sense of fulfillment of that person working.

The Career Talk will not be possible without the coordination of the Guidance Department as part of informing the students in their career in the near future.
