| MOPs treat Ateneans to religious Caribbean music |

“Fr. Ho Lung and Friends” is a touring concert group from Jamaica, bringing to many international places the unique marriage of religious theme and Caribbean music to the world. The Philippine leg of the tour brings “Praise Him” a new collection of religious songs composed by the founder of the MOPs.
The concert received warm response from the Ateneans, who danced and gyrated along with the performers’ fast-beat rendition of reggae music. The group also performed popular Jamaican pieces which the audience sang with exhilaratingly.
The concert in the Ateneo High School forms part of the bigger Philippine Tour of the group. The MOPs - Philippine Province brought the group for fund-raising campaign for the generous programs of the religious order among the poor, the sick and the abandoned. The group has just finished their musical stint in Manila and in the Naga City Coliseum and Universidad de Sta. Isabel Auditorium.
The concert featured the compositions of Fr. Richard Ho Lung, MOP. Fr. Ho Lung is a Jamaican of Buddhist Chinese descent. His parents migrated to Jamaica. Fr. Ho Lung was a Jesuit priest for twenty years before founding the Jamaican based-religious order with special
